about

I run an Earthbound-themed Dungeons and Dragons campaign with some of my friends, and I make Earthbound-esque music to go along with it. I don't think I fully realized that this meant I would be essentially composing an entire game soundtrack when I first started, but this far in I can't exactly stop now. But I figured I should be sharing these works with more than just my close friends, since I'm really proud of them. So, here it is. The first part of a soundtrack that could be for a theoretical Mother game but is really just for a D&D campaign.
The songs here are done mostly in the Earthbound soundfont, along with a handful of additional samples. These are definitely not within SNES hardware limitations, as they were made with FL Studio's Soundfont Player and I paid no heed to channel limitations or anything like that. Also, many of these are a bit far out of the Earthbound style, as I took inspiration from tons of other games like Pokemon, Kirby, and even Ace Attorney. Some tracks are direct remixes of Earthbound songs, most of which have extended sections or different instrumentation.
You could see this as a portfolio for my general composition abilities, especially since I've hardly ever uploaded originals to the Internet until now. Said abilities have grown and evolved in making these songs, so you might even be able to see how I improved throughout the album. Feel free to download the album for free, although payment would be much appreciated.
Lastly, this is only part 1. There will probably be four parts in total as I continue to run this campaign. If you're wondering what the storyline is, I guess you could DM me on Twitter or Discord or something. I will always be down to talk about my own campaign, lol.
